Charity Update

Here is the latest in the charity day...the grand total raised was a whopping $2000...well done to all that were involved...It was an awesome day...

Also, not sure how Di has gone...will have to let you all know as soon as I find out....

Don't forget, the club 4's start next tuesday...yesterday was closing date for entries...I wish all of you lots of fun and luck next week...

Raging Success

Well...what can I say but what a great day. Our charity day was held on tuesday and fun was had by all. From the fabulously stocked stalls, to the great raffle prizes and the great morning tea and awesome company. We had gorgeous visitors from Richmond, Springwood and Windsor. Thanks to those girls for coming to out club and helping us to raise money for the nurses visiting Bangladesh to help in the operations of the little children with face deformities.

THE WORD IS SPREADING

Go girls...we now have 6 followers and it looks like more and more of you are looking at this blog...that's awesome news!!!! If any of you think of anything thing that needs to be said on this blog, just let me know on a Tuesdays.....

CHARITY DAY....is coming up on tuesday.....I can't wait for it...I have a plan to make some mars bar slice, I've bought the little bags and even bought the co-ordinating ribbon to tie it...now I need a bit of time to get them made....looks like I'll be up very, very early Tuesday morning cooking....hope they work out!!!lol...hope to see plenty more ladies making some yummies to eat, and crafty things that we can add to the stall...if not, bring your money....It's for a lovely cause....helping nurses to help kids who need face reconstructions....

A big thanks to Michelle for the beautiful teddy and cushion she made....she's a clever girl!!!thanks to Deb too who I believe is doing basket up, and I think Robby is doing a fruit and veg basket...I saw Joy carrying some bottles of wine around as well...Shirley has shown me some very cute little mascot dollies she made...with all the regular contributions that you all do...It's going to be an awesome day....

Minor Singles results...

Well...after the rain on Tuesday the minor singles final was held today. It was a glorious day and we were certainly glad the sun was out...with sunblock donned the match began. It was a very close match with Carol in the lead, then Mandy, and so this continued. In the end Mandy was the winner of the finals...31 to 22. Thanks Carol for a great game. Thanks to Robin C who was the marker and Barb S. who was the umpire for the day. Thanks to all those that were supporting us both too.

Coming up shortly are the State Singles. Helen Fitzgerald will be participating in this event. The dates are 11th and 12th September. The games will be held at St Johns Park. I will remind you all again in a later post.

Coming up 24th to 28th August will be the Champion of Champions. Di Pittaway will be participating in this event. It will be held at Oak Flats.

We all wish you the best of luck in these events girls...and we are all very proud of you for your achievements.

Yippee!!!!!!

Hi there everyone...no real goss for the Penrith girls as yet...I will once I get the photos from the photographers that went up the coast with the Number 2 Pennant players, but.....we now have 4 followers....Welcome to Pauline and Michelle...along with Yvonne M.....yippee!!!lets see if we can make it 10 followers by the end of next week...And again, if anyone needs any help in regards to the blog, please feel free to come and ask me...I'll be only too happy to help you.....

Just A Quick One

Well...just a little post today to give you the results of the minor singles games today. Carol won her match against Kath...I heard it was a very good match to watch. Mandy won her match against Claire...a very close one indeed...Goodluck to you Carol, and me...lol... for next Tuesdays final.

Welcome Back Home

Welcome home to the Number 2 Pennant Players...I have heard of many wonderful stories of friendship and fun that was had on the adventure up the coast to Coffs Harbour....and hopefully soon I will be a ble to share some photos with you all.

Here is a quote from Robin..."the No.2 Pennants teams are great ambassadors for Penrith and Nepean District and great friendships were made and renewed"...

Here is hoping for a speedy recovery for you Helen.....hopefully your arm will be mended very soon and you are not in too much pain.

Once agian girls...a HUGE congratulations to you all for representing us so wonderfully....its a huge achievement to have reached the State Finals, but the fact that you came 3rd is just icing on the cake...
